TIKTOK: Fairy comments mean latest tiktok trend

TIKTOK: Fairy comments means

Essentially, mean fairy comments are comments with a twist ending that makes them extra funny. The comments are split into two parts, where the second part is unexpected and makes the whole comment funnier. For instance, if you saw someone’s comment begin with “You made my day,” you might expect the rest of the comment to be lighthearted and filled with compliments. But if the second part of the comment simply says, “worse,” it changes everything.

Spotify gives a free Google Home Mini to Premium subscribers

If you’re a Spotify Premium subscriber, Spotify is offering you a Google Home Mini for free now through November 15th, or until supplies run out (via Business Insider).

Before you try to jump on this offer, note that the deal is for the previous generation of Google’s smallest smart speaker, not the newly released Nest Mini. And some circumstances will rule you out of the promotion (more on that later). But if you qualify, it’s a great way to get a $50 smart speaker as part of your monthly Spotify subscription. THIS IS FOR THE GOOGLE HOME MINI, NOT THE NEW NEST MINI

Here’s how you claim it (special thanks to my colleague Dan Seifert, who went through the process).

  1. First, visit this website. If you aren’t already a Spotify Premium subscriber, you’ll be prompted to sign up. If you are, just log into your Spotify account.
  2. Once you’re logged in, just click to select if you have an Individual or Family plan, and you’ll have “reserved” your Google Home Mini, assuming there are still supplies left and if you qualify for the offer. You’ll then get an email confirming your reservation.
  3. Once your reservation is ready (for Dan, it took a little over 30 minutes), you’ll get another email. That email will link you to Google’s online store, where you can get your new Google Home Mini with a discount code applied to make it free.

Not every Spotify Premium user is eligible for the promotion. We looked through the terms and conditions and found some circumstances that will rule you out of the free smart speaker:

  • Users with free trials aren’t eligible, which means you can’t just sign up for a free Premium trial and snag a free Google Home Mini. Discounted Spotify Premium trials won’t work, either.
  • You’re also not eligible if you have a Premium Student plan.
  • If you got a free Google Home Mini last year through Spotify’s promotion for Premium Family plan account owners, it seems you won’t be able to get another through this promotion, as found by Business Insider.

But for many Spotify Premium users, this should be a pretty good deal. And don’t worry if you’ve already taken advantage of free Hulu as part of a Spotify Premium subscription — Dan has, and he was able to claim his free Google Home Mini.

The Vaping e-cigarettes Banned From Trump

Trump moves to ban flavored e-cigarettes

Trump administration officials, alarmed by new data showing a huge jump in vaping by young people, said they are moving to ban most flavored e-cigarettes, a major development that could result in sweeping changes in the sprawling market.

In an Oval Office meeting Wednesday that included first lady Melania Trump, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and acting Food and Drug Administration commissioner Norman E. “Ned” Sharpless, President Trump said: “We can’t allow people to get sick. And we can’t have our youth be so affected.” He added that the first lady, who Tuesday tweeted a warning about vaping, feels “very, very strongly” about the issue because of their 13-year-old son, Barron.

The administration’s move comes as health officials across the country investigate more than 450 cases, including six deaths, of lung disease linked to vaping. Many patients have reported using cannabis-related products, but authorities have not ruled out any specific type of vaping. With the picture still murky, critics have seized the moment to press for tougher regulation of conventional e-cigarettes, which come in sweet and fruity flavors that have been favored by many young people.

Donald Trump ban flavoured vaping because ‘people are dying’

Donald Trump has moved to ban flavours used in e-cigarettes following a series of deaths linked to vaping. Across the United States, six people have died and more than 450 have fallen ill in recent months, with symptoms including breathing difficulty and chest pain.

Several teenagers have been placed in medically induced comas. No single vaping device, ingredient or additive has been identified as the cause.

Mr Trump said: “Vaping has become very big business, giant, in a short period of time. We can’t have our youth be so affected. People are dying from vaping so were looking at it very closely. People are going to watch what we’re saying and parents are going to be a lot tougher with respect to their children.”

He added: “People say vaping is wonderful. It’s really not wonderful, that’s one thing we can say definitely. We may well have to do something strong about it.”

Mr Trump said his wife Melania, the first lady, had been involved in discussions about vaping because “she’s got a son, she feels very strongly about it.”

Alex Azar, the health secretary, whose department oversees the Food and Drug Administration, which in turn regulates, e-cigarettes, said guidelines would be developed to remove all flavours from the market, especially those attractive to children.

But there is little evidence that e-cigarettes are effective for helping smokers quit. They are also hugely popular among adolescents, who makers have targeted with fruit and candy flavourings.

Around 3.6 million US school pupils used vaping products in 2018, an increase of 1.5 million from the year before. The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention has urged people to cease vaping while investigations into deaths and illnesses are underway.

A spokeswoman for the American Lung Association said: “We’ve been sounding the alarm for a long time and are so grateful to hear the president’s announcement. “The only reason these flavours are out there is to attract kids and make the poison go down more easily.”

Nasa Asteroid to Hit Earth at 18,700MPH

Asteroid terror: NASA concern as huge space rock discovered days ago hurtles towards Earth

A 134-FOOT asteroid is currently hurtling towards Earth at nearly 22,500mph after being discovered just days ago.

A recent report from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) categorises the celestial body as a near-Earth object (NEO).

The objects are either comets or asteroids that orbit between 91 million and 121 million miles from the sun, according to NASA.

NEOs can venture as far as 30 million miles from the Earth’s orbit.

After analysing the asteroid, JPL classified the rock as an Amor-type asteroid.

Unlike Apollo and Aten asteroids, Amor asteroids follow an orbital path that allows them to safely approach Earth without crossing into the planet’s orbit.

NASA also explained that Aten and Apollo asteroids can actually cross the Earth’s orbit as they circle the sun.

According to NASA’s Centre for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS), the asteroid could be 59 foot in diameter and more than 134 foot across.

Miley Cyrus Split with Liam Hemsworth After Seven Months Of Marriage

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called it quits less than a year after tying the knot.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for Cyrus tells PEOPLE in a statement. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Rumors of a split between Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth, 29, began on Saturday, after the “Mother’s Daughter” singer posted a photo of herself on Instagram in which she was not wearing her wedding ring.

“Mute me if you don’t want SPAMMED,” she captioned the post, which featured Cyrus sitting in a chair while wearing a black bustier top with a matching pair of black pants.

Although Cyrus is not wearing her wedding ring in the image, she is wearing multiple bracelets and necklaces.

In response to the image, her older sister Brandi Cyrus commented, “Boooooooooooooom!”

The photo was taken while Cyrus vacationed with Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter in Italy — a trip which took place just one week after PEOPLE confirmed Carter’s split from Jenner after a year of marriage.

On Friday, Carter posted a photo of the pair joined by two friends while sailing around Lake Como. She later posted a snap of the pair wearing sexy swimsuits.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Have Split After Less Than One Year of Marriage

While Carter wrote in the caption, “rock the boat, don’t rock the boat baby

,” her ex Jenner, 35, commented, “Hot girl summer
.”

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are over — the longtime couple, and recent newlyweds, have split less than a year after tying the knot.

A rep for Miley told People Mag, “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

The news comes shortly after Miley posted a photo of herself where she doesn’t appear to be wearing her wedding ring. She captioned the pic, “Mute me if you don’t want SPAMMED.”

Miley and Liam have had an on-again, off-again relationship since 2009 — when they first met. He proposed to her in 2012. They broke up, and then got back together 2015. As we reported … they obtained their marriage license in December of 2018 before finally pulling the trigger.

The writing might’ve been on the wall … Miley told Elle magazine earlier this year about how she doesn’t “fit into a stereotypical wife role,” while also revealing she’s attracted to women.

As for Liam … he’s been pre-occupied pumping iron with his brother, Chris, and plugging instant coffee. It’s hard to tell, but it doesn’t look like he’s wearing a wedding band in this clip from a week ago. He last explicitly referred to Miley as his wife — and himself as her husband — in late May, and posted a photo of the two of them in June.

Liam doesn’t appear to have commented on the split directly. No word yet on whether divorce is in the cards — but if this sticks, it’s almost certain to happen. It doesn’t look like either of them have filed for a divorce in Tennessee yet, where they got hitched.

is Equifax Breach Settlement Real ? Lets Know

The settlement of up to $700 million includes as much as $425 million for individual compensation. With so many Americans affected, it’s very likely you could qualify for some form of compensation as a result of the settlement. And with so many names, addresses, birthdates and Social Security numbers leaked, you could still be at long-term risk for identity theft. Here’s what you need to know.

In July 2019, several readers contacted Snopes to inquire about the authenticity of a class-action settlement involving the credit-reporting agency Equifax, in light of multiple social media posts and news articles. In particular, Time magazine’s widely shared reportbore the headline “Equifax Might Owe You $125 for Its Massive Breach. Here’s How to File a Claim,” and stated:

“After the enormous 2017 data breach that revealed the private information of millions of people, credit bureau Equifax plans to pay millions to those affected. The company recently settled to pay up to $700 million in restitution and fines to settle with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. $425 million will go to those who were affected by the breach, which exposed social security numbers of nearly 150 million people. The website where those affected can file a claim is now live …

“If you were affected, you’ll have access to free credit monitoring and identity theft protection for up to 10 years. If you don’t want the credit monitoring, you can simply get a $125 payment. Anyone who had expenses as a result of the breach, such as losses, accountant fees or freezing a credit report, can get a payment of up to $20,000.”

This and several other articles were accurate, and the settlement agreement was authentic. Furthermore, around 147 million people were affected by the Equifax data breach, meaning there is a significant chance that any given U.S.-based reader could be eligible to take part in the settlement. On July 22, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) wrote in a press release that:

“In September of 2017, Equifax announced a data breach that exposed the personal information of 147 million people. The company has agreed to a global settlement with the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and 50 U.S. states and territories. The settlement includes up to $425 million to help people affected by the data breach.

“If your information was exposed in the data breach, you can file a claim at EquifaxBreachSettlement.com for the benefits described below … ”

The FTC website went on to list several benefits potentially available to affected individuals, including:

  • A $125 payment or up to 10 years of free credit report monitoring (or 18 years of free monitoring if you were aged under 18 at the time of the breach in 2017.
  • Monetary payments, capped at $20,000 per person, to cover any costs to you from the breach, such as
    • Losses from unauthorized charges to your accounts
    • Having paid for credit monitoring
    • Having paid to freeze or unfreeze your credit report
    • Any relevant fees you may have paid to an attorney or accountant
    • Claimants can also get compensated for any time they spent dealing with the consequences of the breach, at a rate of $25 per hour, up to 20 hours in total.

The official website of the settlement is EquifaxBreachSettlement.com, and all relevant details can be found there. The site also features a tool that allows readers to check whether they are eligible to receive any benefits. It requires users to enter their last name and the last six digits of their social security number.

Was I affected?

The Equifax Data Breach Settlement website has a look-up tool where you can find out whether your data was compromised.

How do I get the money?

If you’d like to get 10 years of free credit monitoring — or $125 if you already have ongoing credit monitoring — you can make a claim. You can choose to receive the payment at home as a check or as a debit card after final approval from the court, which is set for December 19.

What if my identity was stolen?

Per the settlement, you’re eligible for seven years of “free identity restoration services,” according to the FTC. If you find out that your personal data has been misused, you can call the FTC’s settlement administrator to get help.

Should I opt out?

Opting out of the settlement means you don’t forfeit your rights against Equifax and can still file your own lawsuit against the company. Those who can prove that they took a hit above $125 can get $25 for every hour spent pulling their lives together in the wake of an Equifax-related identity theft. That deal is capped at $20,000. Don’t opt out if you want that option. If you think your personal damages as a result of the data breach exceed $20,000, talking with your attorney about a separate suit could be an option. But you’d need to make sure you opt out of this settlement class first.

How do I exclude myself?

If you’re one of the Americans whose data was exposed, you can send a letter filing a “request for exclusion,” postmarked no later than November 19.Excluding yourself means you’d retain your rights to sue Equifax on your own, should you chose to, based on claims related to the 2017 data breach.

What if I do nothing?

If you don’t do anything, you relinquish your right to sue Equifax in the future, and you give up on the $125 or 10 years of free credit monitoring provided by the settlement.Your deadline to opt out is November 19, and your deadline to file a claim based on this settlement is January 22.

El Chapo : Mexican drug Gets life in prison by federal judge

Mexican drug kingpin Joaquín Guzmán, better known as “El Chapo,” was sentenced to life plus 30 years in prison by a federal judge in Brooklyn Wednesday. Guzmán, who was convicted in February on murder conspiracy and drug charges, was also ordered to pay $12.6 billion in money he made off his drug business.

Guzman’s long tenure as head of the Sinaloa cartel in Mexico is filled with details only seen in Hollywood movies: gangland-style murders, massive political bribes, diamond-encrusted guns, and clandestine escapes from prison through underground tunnels. Through it all, Guzman built a billion-dollar criminal enterprise trafficking heroin, cocaine, marijuana and synthetic fentanyl into the United States.

Guzman, 62, spoke at his sentencing on Wednesday. CBS News’ Cassandra Gauthier was in the courtroom when Guzman addressed U.S. District Judge Brian Cogan while speaking through a translator.

Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman will spend the rest of his life in prison … unless he manages to escape again.

The Mexican kingpin was just handed a life sentence, plus 30 years, by the judge in a federal courtroom in Brooklyn after being convicted on all 10 counts he was facing back in February.

He’s also ordered to forfeit $12.6 BILLION to the government as a result of the dirty money he made from his criminal drug enterprise.

As we reported, El Chapo was found guilty for engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise, conspiracy to launder narcotics proceeds, international distribution of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and other drugs and use of firearms.

The verdict came after a nearly 3-month trial in which the jury heard around 200 hours of insane testimony about drug trafficking, luxury weapons, money laundering … and an alleged $100 million bribe to a former Mexican president.

When is Area 51 Raid And What is Area 51 Raid Memes ?

Over 400,000 people have committed to a Facebook event pledging to “Storm Area 51” in September in an effort to “see them aliens.”

As of Friday, 416,000 people were listed as “going” to the planned raid, which event organizers say will take place on Sept. 20 at 3 a.m. An additional 428,000 people were listed as “interested.”

Attendees will supposedly meet at a nearby “tourist attraction” where they will “coordinate our entry.”

ASTRONOMERS CREATED A ‘COSMIC CHEAT SHEET’ TO HELP LOOK FOR ALIENS

“If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets,” the event description said referencing a Japanese comic character known for his speed.

“Lets see them aliens.”

The Area 51 Raid Memes

The truth is out there, and we’re gonna find it. Even if we have to Naruto run into Area 51 and storm the base ourselves.

A whole lot of conspiracy theorists, alien lovers, tinfoil hat aficionados, and shitposters have recently pledged their interest in a Facebook event titled “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us.”

“If we Naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Lets see them aliens,” the event description says. Over 400,000 have RSVP’d that they will go on September 20, and another 400,000+ are at the very least “interested.” Let’s see the U.S. military try to stop that level of civilian dedication.

It goes without saying that the base has been theorized to either hold aliens, or at least contain classified information on alien encounters, for decades. But the people need answers — and even though the government has recently admitted it studies UFOs, we need to see those aliens with our own two eyes.

The tongue-in-cheek event is obviously a parody — I mean, the group hosting is called “Shitposting cause im in shambles.” But that doesn’t mean the public can’t adjust their tinfoil hats and dream a little.

From the looks of the memes coming out of this potential event, everyone wants to get in on the alien action.
